Sky Sports: AC Milan Gains Striker but Mum on a New Defender Coming in
Former Chelsea striker Adriy Schevchenko (Sheva) has completed his move to AC Milan after passing his recent medical. After barely getting through two difficult years at Chelsea, Sheva is set to bring back the record he set in Milan. He is ecstatic to be back and play for the Italian squad (for good?). Chelsea reportedly changed the conditions of the Sheva deal after deciding to sell, not loan, Sheva to Milan on a permanent basis.
The 31-year-old is delighted to be back at Milan, where he had seven years of success from 1999 to 2006. Sheva also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his Chelsea fans that supported him, despite his lacklustre performance in the past two years.
On the other hand, Arsenal defender, Philippe Senderos, is reportedly scheduled to undergo a medical examination as part of the process to complete his transfer to AC Milan. AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti was quick to say that although Senderos is a good player, the Italian squad has no need for him at this time. Ancelotti also pointed out the fact that it is still uncertain whether Arsenal would release the footballer or not. Rumours are rife that the upcoming move by Senderos is related to the unexpected arrival of Mikael Silvestre from Manchester United. Senderos has reportedly received offers from both Newcastle United and Milan as he aspires to join a first-team football in the new season.
